In this tour you will know the surroundings to the Guadalquivir’s River, the Roman Bridge, the old city with its narrow streets to go to the most important monument in Córdoba: the Mosque- Cathedral, declared World Heritage by Unesco in 1984, an archeological site unique in the world. It is a mixture of different architectural styles (islamic and catholic) known through Córdoba’s history.

You will visit the Alcazar of the Christian Monarchs, an old fortress and residence of Kings, where Christopher Colombus met the Catholic Kings for the first time.  It became the main site of Spanish Inquisition in Córdoba and local prison. You must walk through its magnificent gardens with more than 50.000 square metres, they are decorated with fountains and ponds.

You will know the Jewish Quarter, where you will enter the Synagogue, a jewel from the 14th century with the arabic style predominant in Córdoba. This monument shows us the mixture of the three cultures who coexisted in the city. And you will also find beautiful narrow streets decorated with pots and patios (houses whose courtyards are full of flowers) which participate in the Festival of Patios of Córdoba, which was declared World Heritage by Unesco in 2018.

Yes, children are allowed to do the visit accompanied by an adult. The guide adapts the tour to everybody.

4. Could I eat during the visit?

You could not eat or drink anything inside the monuments, except water. Along the tour you will find different places to buy water or any snack if you need it.

5. Is this tour accessible?

You could do the whole visit with baby carriages and wheelchairs. The only monument with stairs in this tour is the Alcazar, but you must take a different entrance directly to the gardens.

Inside the Mosque- Cathedral you have the option to take a wheelchair if you need it, without any cost. 

6. Are the groups numerous?

This route will have 30 people maximum, the guide will use whispers so the visitors could follow the explanation in a better way.

7. What kind of clothes should I use?

You should use comfortable clothes and shoes. 

In some places of the Old Town the ground of the streets are made of stones. Temperatures in July and August are extremely hot, so it is good to use transpirable clothes. Inside the Mosque- Cathedral is recommended not to use very short dresses, skirts or shorts.
