It was the largest Mosque in Occident until the Christian conquest of Cordoba.

You will be fascinated with its Mihrab, the central point in a mosque to orient them to Mecca. It was made of the best materials taken from Byzantium (the old Constantinople).

The Mosque became a Christian temple in 1236.

The Orange trees’ courtyard (Patio de los Naranjos) is the main entrance to the monument and you could find the Bell Tower, which was the old Minaret and you could visit it. It is the highest point in Cordoba.

In this route the visit to the crossing of the Catholic Cathedral is included. You will see one of the most beautiful choirs made of mahogany in 1748. And you will also admire 64 Christian and private chapels in it.
